The dewy skin trend made an appearance almost a year ago and I’m glad it’s here to stay! Most foundation formulas keep responding to this beauty call and so did L’Oreal with a product that everyone loved from the very beginning. It’s supposed to be mattifying which sounds terrifying (to me at least) and you can’t imagine anything else than cakey. In the contrary, the brand presented it as a new matte formula that would change the way we used to confront matte bases.
It comes with a tube which is convenient and travel friendly. At first, the product comes out a little thick but when blended, it sheers out. I found it’s better if applied in thin layers as it provides medium coverage and you can build it up that way in the places you need, without ending with a heavy finish. It surely is long lasting and after using it for three months now, I would describe it as velvety and natural on the skin, that stays perfect for many hours without creasing or smudging.
A slight dust of bronze is needed even in the colder months, as it shapes, adds definition and gives life to the face. I haven’t used a warm toned bronzer that is matte as well till now, so this is a first! Even though I chose the shade for the darker skin tones, it seemed to be too light for me. I was also skeptical about the quality, given that it’s super affordable, but even so, I wanted to give it a try. So, the more I use it, the more I love it! I’m very fond of the fact that it has a huge pan to freely swirl your brush and the powder is really blendable too. It turned out to be the right shade for me, as it’s light enough to look natural and also it compliments any contour and blush product used after; it just tights them all together! Shall I add that it smells like biscuits?

A mixture of apple scent, ginger and aloe composes this fall scent and since it’s an eau de cologne, it can be used multiple times throughout the day without being too overpowering; just a fresh and uplifting fragrance to keep you going!
