a gift idea * make up sets

Time couldn't be more appropriate for a gift guide and similar posts have taken all over the blogworld! I would love to do a complete one, but since there are so many informative guides out there, I thought I'd share with you an idea: the make up set. This is something you can find almost in every single brand around the Christmas time and it's a gift every woman would really want! A set always promises more products for you to try and in a more reasonable price than if you purchased them individually. Some months ago, I received this Mac Stroke Midnight/Nude Lip Kit (Limited Edition for $39.50), which contains a mini lip pencil in Boldly Bare, a cremesheen lipstick in Creme D' Nude and a lip glass in Softly lit. We couldn't forget about the bag, right? This is a lovely bag, with simple colours and touches, but with different fabrics and feel. The best part is the unique pattern inside. Except for the bag, which is the perfect size to carry make up or any other items in your hand bag, you have the chance to try three different products.

The Lip Pencil in Boldly Bare is a 'muted red brown' nude, similar to my natural lip colour, great for lining, filling and making lips look fuller and better shaped. It's my most loved lip liner so far and I would totally recommend it!

The Lipstick in Creme D' Nude has a cremesheen finish and it's a peachy nude colour, creamy and pigmented. I don't get along with this finish that much, but I find that if I use it on moisturised lips, lightly with tapping motions and with the Boldly Bare pencil underneath, I can get a lovely nude finish.

The Lip Glass in Softly Lit is a golden beige gloss with shimmer, that looks almost clear on lips if you use it alone, so I prefer to use it on top of Creme D'Nude to finish off the look.

These three products look great together and the Boldly Bare pencil is a dream itself! This year Mac Cosmetics have an even better christmas collection for 2014 holiday season, so be prepared to get a 'little' spendy!
