Finding the perfect concealer is more like a struggle for me. And when I say concealer, I mean an illuminating one for under eyes, nose and chin and not for covering blemishes (this is where my HEMA Green Concealer Stick does the hard work). The first one I bought back in the day was the Maybelline Dream Lumi Touch Highlighting Concealer which I used to love, I've even run through three of them, but the last time I purchased it, not only the packaging was different in greek stores, so was the formula. Sadly, I found it quite thick and drying so after a long time of using it, I decided to give it up. Then, it was the Makeup Revolution Cover & Conceal Palette with many creamy shades, which I used a lot during summer, but through wintertime, something more liquid and hydrating is needed. I had several options in mind and eventually I went for the Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in No 20 Sand.
Even though it's a proper covering concealer and not illuminating by any means, the slight orange tone not only covers dark circles or any discolouration, but also brightens the face. Of course, it's a little lighter than my skin tone, so I can use it more as a highlighting product. What impressed me the most, was the pigmentation, which is something else and you wouldn't expect it for a drugstore product. So definitely a little goes a long way. I literally dot it under my eyes, forehead and chin, and then blend it with my ecoTools Flat Foundation Brush for an even finish. It can be a little drying in the end of the day, after many hours of wear, but if I use it sparingly on hydrated skin, it's totally fine. The packaging is sleek and lovely, but it can get quite messy as the liquid runs out slightly when you close it. It's not the ONE yet, but still on the hunt! If you have any recommendations, please let me know!
