Isn't it weird how our skin may change throughout the years? I guess this is a sign of growing up and we have to roll with it, providing the best care. My skin type used to be oily/combination, acne prone with dry parts from time to time, so there wasn't a specific treatment I could use and be completely happy. Nowadays, it's still acne prone, but not oily anymore, I would say it's more on the normal side. In the summertime, it's normal with break outs because of the heat, in the wintertime it's drier than ever before. When you have to apply make up on dry patches isn't the prettiest look and since my moisturiser for acne couldn't provide total hydration all day long, I thought to be daring and pick for the first time in the history a product for dry skin, the Garnier Moisture Match for Dry to Very Dry Skin, with Camelia oil, a blend of Omega 3 & 6 and Shea butter for 24 hours of hydration.
It comes in a pink pot, which is cute on one hand, but I would prefer a tube because of the cream's texture. When you first touch it, it's thick (this is why I would like a different packaging) and rich, which I adore and it almost melts on your face while you apply it. It's so hydrating that I don't even have to use an eye cream and it smells heavenly, it's always a pleasure to use it! I prefer to take advantage of its properties only on make up days as a moisturiser/primer, as it's really hydrating and brightening. Even though my skin was on the oily side before, this cream is so moisturising, but not oily at all. It provides a luminous, plumping effect and it keeps foundation looking fresh all day long. I'm so impressed with this product and I'm happy I gave it a chance even though I don't really have dry skin. If I didn't have to use an acne treatment, I would prefer this one for every day!
