the autumn lipstick

I believe I was waiting to write this post since the beginning of my blog, but back then it was spring time, so The Spring Lipstick was more appropriate! Today though I'm featuring my top two favourite lip products, because of their shade and formula of course. Before we start, I have to confess that I'm not a big fan of lipsticks in general, because I want to do my make up in the morning and not being concerned about it, until the time I have to remove it. Lipsticks have to be reapplied, after coffee, tea or food and probably I'll leave it as it is! You may already know that I'm fond of shadows and since I do bolder looks, I can't follow with a bold lip at the same time... I wear nudes from time to time, but they're not my favourite pick either. You will always see me choose plums, burgundies, browns... Can it get any bolder than this?? So when I'm sure I want to wear one of these shades, I have to go with a natural eye look... and sometimes, yes, it makes me sad!

Mac Plumful in lustre finish, my first ever Mac lipstick and my favourite finish, as the other two I own are cremesheen and something doesn't work right on me. It's a beautiful plum shade, sheer but you can build it up. I usually wear it on top of Seventeen Supersmooth Waterproof Lipliner in No 08 Cranberry, for defined lips, bolder and long-lasting result.

Maybelline Color Sensational in No 360 Plum Reflection (the number/name can be different in each country) is a reddish plum shade with silver sparkle, that gives you a beautiful sheen, more of a glossy finish. Even though it looks dark in the tube, it really is sheer as you can see from the swatch and two layers of this are just fine, because as you reapply it, you'll get more sheen than colour pay off. This lipstick is a nice twist on your common red shade and it suits many skin tones too.

Both of the lipsticks look great with a bronzed look, using your bronzer or the Maybelline Color Tattoo in On and On Bronze, gel liner close to your lashes to define them for a modern take or with a flick for a classic look!

Have you tried any of these lipsticks? Which is your favourite for fall?
