Almost a year ago, I had the chance to get a NYC palette (and now I regret the fact that I didn't get more!). There are many palette sets to choose from, they come in three or four shades that compliment each other and there is also an eye colour guide to pick up the best for you. Even though I was looking for the Union Square palette for brown eyes, which contains neutrals, browns and a beautiful burgundy colour, I went for the Smokey Greens one, since this one was available. I don't have green eyes, of course, and I wish I had, but that doesn't mean that I can't use this incredible palette! I was really impressed with the shadows' quality, buttery, pigmented, long-lasting. There is a light golden shade for all over the lid, but I use it for the inner corner mostly, a taupy purple (my least favourite), a burgundy and a deep plum, which is the only matte shade in the palette. There is also a cream primer and a highlighting base, but I don't use them much because the first one can crease throughout the day and the second is far too shimmery for me! Overall, it's a great palette to have, especially for fall and extremely affordable (price $5).
Have you tried any NYC palettes?
