tea {tree} time

I was stalking my local Body Shop for so long, just for the Tea Tree Pore Minimiser and when I saw it on the shelves the other day, I didn't want to get it after all. It has a mattifying effect, sometimes it can be a little bit drying too, looks that I don't go for. If you read my Homemade Face Scrub/Mask some time ago, then you already know how beneficial it was for my skin. I've been using it for the past 9 months -it sounds almost like a pregnancy- and I wanted to choose something new, that I could keep in my bathroom stash and not in my fridge anymore. I went straight to the Tea Tree line which is suitable for blemished skin and I chose the Tea Tree Squeaky-Clean Scrub. Then I heard those magical words 'Buy two, get 20% off'. Well, you know the drill, here I am, writing also about the Tea Tree Blemish Fade Night Lotion, something that was missing from my skincare routine.

I shall say that I'm pretty impressed with the face scrub, because it's so gentle on the skin, it exfoliates without hurting your face and adds a refreshing feeling in the whole process, so that you know that it really works. Since I was dealing with break outs lately, I've been using it after cleansing in the morning, following with a moisturiser for acne prone skin. It's not necessary to use it every single day, maybe day per day, because it works wonders and it deeply cleanses without drying your skin.

Because of the last 'bad skin' weeks, I haven't used the night lotion a lot, as I prefer to use it afterwards, to diminish the blemishes left. I have high hopes for this product and I believe it will work that good too! The only downside for me is the tea tree oil scent, of which I'm not a fan, but it doesn't last long anyway! There is also a discount for Body Shop purchases for the next three months, so any recommendations will be welcome! I've been eyeing some clay masks and hand creams...!

Have you tried these products ?
